Town Board Meeting
July 8, 2025
Minutes
1. Call the July 8, 2025, meeting to order at 6:00 p.m..
2. Pledge of Allegiance was said by all in attendance.
3. Approve minutes of the June 10, 2025, meeting.
4. Monthly Financial Review:
a. Treasurer’s report – The main bank account is not balancing by $179.83, possibly
due to a voided check. Working with Work Horse to resolve the issue. The
background checks have been attributed to the wrong budget account and will be
corrected by next month. Once the taxes are received from the County they will
applied to the budget which will change the budget comparisons for “budgeted”
and “actual” amounts.
b. Clerk’s report – Retail Licenses have been reported to the Department of
Revenue. There is an entity called the Sunlight Report which has issued a request
to all municipalities in Wisconsin asking for board meeting agendas. To be in
compliance with state statutes we have added them to the agenda distribution list,
however, there have also been reports of malware attached to emails this
company is sending. Diagnostics have been run and it does not look like we have
been affected by anything. No further emails have been received from them and
future emails will be handled with caution.
5. Library Report – Report was received and read.
6. Building Inspector’s Report – Report was received and read.
7. Fire Commission Report – Ron Triemstra – There was inquiry regarding the high volume
of calls made for the City of Green Lake verses the Town. It was determined that many
of the calls are for fall assists or general health. This past month there were 24 calls to
the City of Green Lake and 6 calls for the Town of Brooklyn; 119 calls were made county
wide.
8. County Board Supervisor Report – *
9. Chairperson Reports:
a. Road Report – Mike Wuest – Mowing is completed but a second mow may be
needed due to the amount of rain and good weather. There were 5 calls regarding
downed trees due to the last storm.
10. Supervisor Reports:
a. Recycling Report – Harley Reabe – June had 10.41 tons of co-mingle which is 2
tons less than last June. There was an increase in brush due to the storm and we
have had twice the normal garbage amount. There was an incident with a pully
snapping which has been repaired.
b. Sanitary District Report – Kristin Radtke - The next meeting will be held on July 10,
2025. The agenda includes updates on the Area 9, the McAfee Road, Beyers
Cove, and Sugar Loaf Sewer extensions and there will be a closed session
c. Plan Commission Report – Sue McConnell – There was no meeting this month.
