Weed Commissioner Report No weeds right now. 12. Consideration and Action: Proposal ‘No’ enhanced wakes on Big Green (Land Conservation Committee) Todd Morris spoke regarding the enhanced wake and wake boats and damage to the shoreline and the land conservation committee came up with some recommendations which is 700’ from shoreline and 40’ of water. The conservation committee went to all towns, and they were questioned about the enforcement of the ordinance. The recommendation would be advisory because enforcement would be an issue. Bob Schweder also spoke about contacts with walleyes from tomorrow and other groups, so they felt 700’ from shore and 40’ depth leaves a lot of the lake to be used. The committee’s recommendations were because the prime objective is to protect the lake. The committee would like to have a link to the county website to show where the 700’ would be located. This could be done via a cellphone to the county website. Wuest questioned the enforcement. DNR can’t enforce a local ordinance so that’s why they decided that an “advisory” ordinance is the way to go. Triemstra spoke about the need for the DNR to act. Rather agreed. Reabe would like to see the county boards agree statewide to address the issue. M/S Wuest /Reabe proposed that we do not act at this time and wait until the other towns make decisions. Wuest: yes; Reabe; Triemstra: Yes Rather: yes. Motion passed 4 ayes, 1 absent. 13. Consideration and Action on 10 yr. look at the Comprehensive Plan (If any changes need to be made) Wuest explained that we should look at it every 10 years, and he felt it was cleaned up very good the last 10 year time period and it does not need to be re-hashed and he feels we do not need to do it again at this time.
