Minutes 1. The Aug 3, 2023, meeting was called to order by Chairman Wuest at 6:00 p.m. Present: Wuest, Reabe, Rather, Pettack, Triemstra and Clerk Morris. Absent: Treasurer Toney 2. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all in attendance. 3. Approve minutes of the July 11, 2023, meeting. M/S Reabe/Rather to approve the minutes of the July 11, 2023, meeting passed. 4. Monthly Financial Review: a. Treasurer’s report – Summary of last month’s financial statements. The treasurer was absent. b. Clerk’s report – Budget report (monthly) expenses and revenues: The clerk reviewed the treasurer’s report and noted that $50,000.00 of ARPA funds were sent to the Sanitary District for their project. Several State Aids were received which are detailed in the report. The clerk also noted that the Town of Brooklyn will receive an additional $60,414.00 in Shared Revenue in 2024. 5. Library report – Christine Lyon, Director The library report was received and read by all. 6. Building Inspector report – Building Permits issued: The report of building permits was received and read by all. 7. Fire Commission report – Mark Pettack – report on monthly meetings. Pettack reported that all the trucks are back, and they are working on a preliminary budget next month. 8. County Board Supervisor Report – Harley Reabe: No report because the board does not meet in July. 9. Chairperson Reports: a. Road Report – Mike Wuest. Wuest reported concerning trees that were down in the road due to storms. They are planning on mowing toward the end of August. 10. Recycling Report – Supervisor Reabe. Reabe reported that the recycling for the month of July was 13.5 tons with a fair amount of brush coming in as well as garbage. 11. Weed Commissioner Report – Supervisor Pettack: Pettack reported on only one e-mail regarding garlic mustard. 12. Consideration and Action on: Ordinance No. 2023-03: Final Revision and Codification of the Ordinances for the Town: M/S Wuest/Reabe to approve Ordinance No. 2023-03 Final Revision and Codification of the Ordinances for the Town. Wuest: yes; Reabe: yes; Rather; yes; Pettack: yes. Triemstra: yes. Motion passed 5-0. 13. Consideration and Action on: Discussion on withdrawal from County Zoning with Mark Hazelbaker. Hazelbaker was contacted and said his secretary made a mistake with the schedule and he did not have tonight’s meeting on his schedule. No action was taken. He will be at the September 2023 meeting. 14. Next Board Meeting: Sept 12, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. 17.
