Town Board Meeting March 2026 — Minutes

Town of Springwater March 9, 2026 Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present C/Hernandez, S/Johnson, S/Baitinger (absent - vacation) Motion by S/Johnson, Second by C/Hernandez to accept the agenda as posted. Motion carried. Motion by S/Johnson, Second by C/Hernandez to approve the February 9, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion carried. Public Comments: Lucas Hecker spoke on the concerns of 20th Court, Richard Rose spoke on a buoy permit. Clerk’s Report: Motion by S/Johnson, Second by C/Hernandez to approve checks 23022-23053 for a total of $2,475,818.01. Motion carried. Road Report: Mike will meet with various asphalt companies to get bids for W. Round Lake Road 23rd Drive: The Clerk will reach back out to DOT to determine the correct length of road for WISLR reporting. 20th Court: Lucas Hecker, Scott Hecker and Frank Paoletti shared concerns over the illegal activities that occur on the road stating many of them are safety concerns. They shared that access to the DNR land is available through other avenues and requested the Town abandon the road. Motion by S/Johnson, Second by C/Hernandez to abandon 20th Court north from Aniwa to the DNR land. Motion carried. A Certified Survey Map for the Yeska property was presented and signed by C/Hernandez. Public Safety: Ned Schaber for Saxeville/Springwater fire department shared they conducted a controlled burn at a house on Aspen Ave. Several surrounding agencies attended. This gave a lot of new members the experience of putting on a pack and going into a fire. Correspondences: Cutting notice for Hecker, Donation from Bargmann for Covered Bridge Park, Waushara County Zoning changes Future agenda items: 23rd Drive, Permit for Buoy (Enchanted Rose) Next meeting: April 13, 2026 Motion by S/Johnson, Second by C/Hernandez to adjourn the meeting at 7:43 pm Motion carried.
