Town Board February 2026 — Minutes

Town of Springwater February 9, 2026 Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present C/Hernandez, S/Baitinger, S/Johnson Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to accept the agenda as posted. Motion carried. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve the January 12, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion carried. Public Comments: No public comment. Clerk’s Report: Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve checks 22996-23021 for a total of $26,226.49. Motion carried. Correspondences: Cutting notice by Bell Timber Inc. Zoning notice of fees/report for Northeast Asphalt Inc. Zoning notice of violation of campers stored on property at N4901 23rd Dr. Adams Columbia Electric Cooperative 2026 Consent form for parking and maintenance. Road Report: C/Hernandez reported that Mike Kelly will be at the March meeting and will discuss Round Lake Rd work. The county will begin brush cutting along 19th. A Certified Survey Map for the Kosterman property was presented and signed by C/Hernandez. Public Safety: Alex Peterson for Saxeville/Springwater fire department stated they had 2 structure fires on the coldest days of the year. During those incidents damage was caused to some equipment due to the cold temperatures. On 2/21 they will be conducting a controlled burn at a house on Aspen Ave. W Round Lake Road: In March, when Mike Kelly returns to work he will obtain oil prices from the County Highway Department and put together bids to be published in the paper. Covered Bridge House: C/Hernandez suggested moving inspection to May when the weather is warmer and the ground is cleared of snow and ice.
