AssessorTonyRobleypresentedthe2024AssessmentRoll.HesharedthatMarkBrown,PresidentofAssociatedAppraisal,discussedthematterofconvertingPersonalPropertytoRealPropertywiththeirattorneyandMarkPoulettefromDept.ofRevenueanddeterminedthereisaloopholeinthelawforcampgroundstogetaroundthis.HehasprovidedeachcampgroundwithanewAssessmentNoticewiththecorrectedvaluessotheownersofEvergreen,RoseEnchanted,andPineland,whopreviouslyfiledObjectionstotheirRealPropertyAssessment,didnotattendtheBOR. ThoseparcelswereremovedfromtheAssessmentRoll.TheClerkwillfileForm551byJuly1stwiththeDORandthelostrevenuefromPersonalPropertywillbepaidtothemunicipalityinSharedRevenues. TonyalsopresentedtheBoardwiththeMajorClassComparisonReportshowingtheTownofSpringwaterisoutofcompliance(1stnotice).TheTownwillbeoutofcompliancenextyearaswellwhichreassurestheTownwillneedtoconductareevaluationnextyear. KimZineckerreturnedsignedpaperworktoTonyonthecorrectionoftheAssessmentRoll.ItwasalsoexplainedtohimthatbecausehedidnotnotifytheCountyZoningofficeofworkcompletedathiscampgroundanddidnotfollowthroughwithcompletingthepaperworkheneededtoinJanuary,theTownwouldnotberequestingaChargebackforhistaxespaidlastyear. TheassessedvalueofWilsonLakeCampgroundhasbeencorrectedandthetaxeswillbeaccuratemovingforward. The2024AssessmentRollwasreviewedandsignedbytheClerk.
