Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Springwater Regular Board Meeting January 8, 2024 Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present C/Hernandez, S/Baitinger, S/Johnson Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to accept the agenda. Motion carried. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve the December 11, 2023 minutes as read. Motion carried. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve checks 22332-22353 for $33,578.05. Motion carried. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve the Prairie Restoration project at the Covered Bridge Park with an upfront payment of $3650 with the understanding that 70% will be reimbursed with a total of 30% of the project ($1095) cost to the Town. Motion carried. C/Hernandez will sign the plan on 1/9/24. Work should not be started on the project until the County has approved the plan. Any donations made to the project will offset the cost of the Town’s share and/or be put towards maintenance of the project. Long Lake and Gilbert Lake associations each have committed $600 to the project. C/Hernandez signed the Certified Survey Map for Draxler/Beyer. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to give the Clerk, Treasurer and Road Crew Supervisor a $150 Christmas bonus. Motion carried. Future agenda items: Reassessment, Boating Ordinance, Lake usage of budgeted funds. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to adjourn the meeting at 7:38pm. Motion carried.
