Town of Poy Sippi – Waushara County Town Board Meeting Minutes March 9, 2026 The Town Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm, with all board members present. Present in the audience was Fire Chief, Brian Petit, Deputy Fire Chief, Matt LaSure, and Terry Elendt. It was noted that the agenda was posted. Steve made a motion, 2nd by John to approve the agenda, all ayes, motion carried. Jalaine read the minutes from previous meeting; Steve made a motion 2nd by John to accept the minutes as read, all ayes, motion carried. Lori reported that we have $115,417.88 in the General Fund checking account, Steve made a motion, 2nd by John, to accept the treasurers report as read, all ayes, motion carried. Old Business: None New Business: Approve application for a Temporary Class B Retailers License for the Fire Department’s Chicken BBQ’s 3/21/2026 & 07/05/2026. Steve made a motion, 2nd by John, all ayes, motion carried. Fire Chief Brian Petit gave the Board an update, 40 Rescue and 10 Fire calls this year so far . A fundraiser for new Jaws Equipment with costs of $65,000. A letter of donation request was mailed to all property owners in the fire department’s district for funds for the new Jaws, which has raised $30,000, so far . An odd anonymous letter received by Fire Department, pointing out disapproval of not having typed names of Fire Department officials just unreadable signatures, before they would consider donating to the new Jaws equipment. Upon discovery of said signatures were taken and copied from prior years Fire Department and Rescue Town of Poy Sippi contracts. Chief Brian presented the letter to the Board for reviewing and discussion. Fire Department contract with be early this year and will be combined with Rescue Contract. Fire Department plans to re-do seals on all fire house doors and will be removing stones from plowing snow out of the neighboring yard. Discussion of setting up an appointment with Scott’s Construction to review road conditions to be done. Discuss and approve payment of current bills; Steve made a motion, 2nd by John, all ayes, motion carried.
