1 | P a ge 01 / 26 /2 6 Minutes Date Approved 0 2 / 1 6 /202 6 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FENNIMORE, GRANT COUNTY, WISCONSIN HELD ON MONDAY, JANUARY 26TH, 2026 The Regular Council meeting of the Common Council was called to order by Mayor Ryan Boebel at 5:30 p.m. Roll Call was taken with the following alderpersons answering present: Adam, Chiefari, Roth, Day, Strack, and Hagen. Director of Public Works Anthony Downing, City Clerk-Treasurer, Ashley Edge, and Deputy Clerk- Treasurer, Ashley Mumm, Chuck Stenner, and Board of Trustees Members: Mary Ann Stenner, Larry Novinska, and Dan Stepanek were also in attendance. Agenda: Proof in the form of a certificate of public notice given as required by Section 19.84, Wis. Stats., as to the holding of this meeting, was presented by the City Clerk-Treasurer. Motion by Adam, second by Strack to approve the proof of posting and agenda. Motion carried 6-0. Consent Agenda: The following Operators were approved: None. Minutes of the preceding meeting. Approval of minutes if correct, and corrections of mistakes: The minutes from the December 15th, 2025 Regular Meeting, and January 19 th, 2026 Minutes were approved with a motion by Strack, and a second by Adam. Motion carried 6-0. Comments from Pre-registered Citizens: Reports of Officers: Clerk DPW Chief of Police Presentation of accounts and other claims against the city: There was a motion by Adam and a second by Hagen to approve the 01/19/2026 Council claims with the breakdown of bills to their respective accounts for a total of $1,019,494.25 with City bills at $788,698.79, Utility bills at $161,216.84 Sewer bills at $42,631.87, TIF-CDBG bills at $0, and Capital Projects at $27,216.75. Gross Payroll amounts for 12/26/2025 were $71,138.81 with $40,428.50 for City, $22,935.00 for Utility and $7,775.31 for Sewer. Gross Payroll amounts for 01/09/2026 were $77,366.27 with $47,208.81 for City, $19,448.11 for Utility and $10,709.35 for Sewer. Motion carried on a roll call vote 6-0. Committee Reports: Unfinished Business: Tree Board Update-Margaret Sprague New Business: Discussion and possible action to amend Chapter 1 Ordinance 2026-01-19: There was a motion by Strack, and a second by Roth to approve Ordinance 2026-01-19. Topic is tabled until the City speaks with Attorney, Ben Wood. Discussion and possible action on sale of lot Discussion and possible action on Wastewater Superintendent There was a motion by Roth and a second by Day to consider moving into closed session at 5:53 pm. Motion carried on a roll call vote 6-0. Return to open session: There was a motion by Roth and a second by Day to return to open session at 6: 29 pm. Motion carried on a roll call vote 6-0. No action taken on closed session items.
