August Board Meeting Minutes

Board Meeting Agenda – Thursday, August 11 at 4:00 pm In-person at Memorial Building, Council Chambers or Zoom https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86956895525 Meeting ID: 869 5689 5525 Call Meeting to Order – Lori Barry, President Holly Straka, Hayley Bender, Jenna Govier, Ashley Walker, Kara Stewart, Lori Barry, Sheila Ruchti, Sheri King, Rhonda Hubbard, and Peggy Miles. Also in attendance, Jessica Helms. Meeting called to order by Barry at 4:03pm 1. Old Business/Committee Reports a. Secretary Report – Ashley Walker Motion by Bender, Second by Govier to approve June’s and July’s minutes. All in favor. Motion Carried. b. Treasurer Report – Sheila Ruchti Motion by King to amend the budget to reflect the correction that was made due to the Excel Spreadsheet not calculating correctly. Second made by Hubbard. All in favor. Motion Carried. c. Marketing Committee Report – Marketing Committee Back to School Bash donated $1,215 to the school for them to utilize to help students, whether it was school supplies, clothing, etc. Great turnout, people had great things to say, looking forward to next year’s event. d. Bylaws update – Daniel Glass Table Discussion e. Networking events – Lori Barry Barry, King, and Cathy Smith need to meet yet. f. Chamber membership meeting – Lori Barry Working on scheduling this per our bylaws. g. Donations – Jessica Helms Marketing Committee meets next week, and will discuss coming up with a policy to bring back to the board to further discuss. Currently would have $500 already in the budget for 2022. 2. New Business a. Approval of membership Jay Leffler Construction and Stitzer Bar & Grill. Motion by Miles to approve businesses to join our membership. Second by Bender. All in favor. Motion Carried. b. Review current board terms Will have to review to match our new bylaws. Tabled. c. Membership proration Membership will meet to discuss options. d. CARE Call schedule See attached schedule for CARE calls. Adjourn Adjourned at 5:03pm.
