Stormwater Utility — Minutes

Town of Onalaska Stormwater Utility Minutes August 5, 2025 1. Call to order by Paula Przywojski. Members present: Przywojski, Monroe and Shefelbine. Engineer Lukasz Lyzwa and Mary Rinehart was also present. The pledge of allegiance was cited. 2. Motion to approve agenda by Monroe/Shefelbine passed unanimously 3. Motion by Monroe/Shefelbine to approve minutes from July 1, 2025 meeting passed unanimously. 4. Motion to approve bills and finance book by Monroe/Shefelbine passed unanimously. 5. Public Comment (3-minute time limit): None. 6. Discussion making recommendation to Town Board relating to Carefree Drive drainage issue: Motion by Monroe/Przywojski to recommend to award project to Coulee Country Excavating LLC passed unanimously. 7. Update and discussion action making recommendation to Town Board regarding Kramer Road drainage issue: Motion by Monroe/Shefelbine to recommend to award project to Coulee Country Excavating LLC passed unanimously. 8. Discussion making recommendation to Town Board regarding Sobkowiak Road drainage complaint: No action. Engineer will investigate and report back. Previously the east side of the roadway had swales added. Water will also be diverted on west side of roadway at the park to minimize the amount of water on the west side. 9. Update, and discussion making recommendation to Town Board relating to Birchview Drive drainage issue: Engineer recommends to continue to monitor. Recent abatement appears to be holding. No action. 10. Discussion making recommendation to Town Board regarding Anderson Road culvert issue: Motion by Monroe/Shefelbine to recommend to award to Strupp Trucking at the amended cost. Motion passed unanimously. 11. Update, and discussion making recommendation to Town Board relating to Apple Valley Road cul-de-sac issues: Letters have been sent, no response as of this meeting. Engineer will continue work on this issue. No action. 12. Discussion making recommendation to Town Board relating to Prairie Drive culvert issue: Motion by Monroe/Shefelbine to recommend 50/50 split with Town in install culvert and repair/resurface intersection.
