Walnut Street concerns: Michelle Torgerson, N7144 Elm Court, explained they attended the July stormwater meeting to express their displeasure in the work performed in May and they were referred to the Town Board. She gave background on the process, lack of communication, extensive changes to their ditch and referred to several pictures she provided to the board. She would like to see the area restored. Scott Torgerson, N7144 Elm Court, reiterated the lack of communication that went from minor ditch work to extensive work with a steep and large pond. He noted concerns with safety and aesthetics in the neighborhood. He could not get a comparable but is concerned the value of the lot has been reduced due to the retention pond. He noted the drainage issue came up when the owner of the home at the southeast corner raised the height and installed a concrete driveway. Torgerson asked that the work be reversed and a culvert be installed under the driveway that caused the issues. John Bender, La Crosse, co-owner of the lot, would also like the work reversed and noted the communication should have been better. Paul Davidson, N7134 Walnut Street, explained that the drainage comes along 3-4 blocks from Maple down Walnut on the road surface and the ditches are shallow. He stated the change in the driveway height south of him was the start of the problems and that is where the work should occur. Hoffman stated he met with the engineer on this project and thought they were making smaller adjustments. He noted he was out of town in May when the work began and that the leadership of the Stormwater Utility Commission had changed so communication could have been better. Discussion followed.
