Kevin met with Douglas County regarding concerns at Brule bridge on Hwy 2. DC will gather stakeholders and develop a plan. Stakeholders include the town, Dahlberg Electric, WDNR, WisDOT, Trout Unlimited and Douglas County. They expect to do something in a year or two, depending on how hard it is to find funding. Road Report: Douglas County’s paving crew will fix roads where culverts were replaced . Our crew will need to provide traffic control. Fire Chief Report: They have been repairing equipment and working on river rescue procedures. With the detour on Hwy 27, Keith requested the barricades by the Brule River be moved enough to allow the Brule River to be used as a water sour ce. Keith applied for a 13K grant from Health Dept and is caught up on all grant related paperwork. New Business: Zoning: Nothing needed approval. Sanitary Board Appointment: Kevin motioned, seconded by Fred to appoint Lori Anderson as the clerk/treasurer after Evan Maki resigned, motion carried. Lori is retiring from Iron River Sanitary District in October, so she has great experience and is also a licensed operator as a backup. Old Business: Garage Progress Report: The contractor parted ways with the sub-contractor for concrete work, which has caused some delays. Work is resuming with plumbing work currently being done. 2 Lift Station Project: The SD was unable to get out of completing the project to move the sanitary line when the WisDOT replaces a culvert with a bridge on Hwy 27 over Sandy Run.. They need to remove the line from over the culvert, directional bore it under the stream and construct a lift station to bring it back up to the surface. DOT provided a $380,000 loan for the project with 0% interest for the first 10 years and 2.634% for the last 10 years. JGJ Dirt is the contractor. They capped the line and started bypass pumping on 8/9. They will complete the lift station as soon as the equipment is delivered, as it has a 10-12 week estimated delivery time. The bridge replacement is expected to take 60 days. Town correspondence was reviewed. Adam motioned, seconded by Kevin to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 PM. Respectfully submitted, Diane Nelson, Clerk
