April 20 Garage Design Meeting — Minutes

1 BRULE TOWN GARAGE DESIGN MEETING Monday April 20, 2026, 2:00 pm NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Town Board Meeting for the Town of Brule, in the County of Douglas, State of Wisconsin, for meeting with the garage design team to resolve several outstanding concerns will be held in the Town Hall. A resolution supporting road funding from the state will also be considered. Garage Discussion Electrical service location was discussed. The electrical service and generator will move to a new northwest pad closer to the road, solving future expansion conflicts, snow-shedding risks, and utility access issues. Generator size was discussed. The 70kW generator is confirmed. Its conservative size is required by code to back up the entire building load, which is necessary to support its planned use as a public shelter during outages. Location of SW pond to allow for future expansion was discussed. It was determined to leave it as is as expansion is not certain and relocating may generate unnecessary expense. Well location will be re-examined to allow a more direct route into the building. Excavation extent under slab Financing: Discussion on how much to issue in General Obligation Municipal Notes was postponed until Fred is back in town. Resolution 2026-1 Resolution Supporting a Comprehensive and Sustainable Transportation Funding Solution. Fred motioned, seconded by Kevin to pass the resolution, motion carried unanimously.
