maybe this spring.

plow when we get snow.
Fire Chief Report: They have had 7 medical calls and one landing zone call since the last

$12,000 demo unit after Keith pointed out they were also spending ~100K using a FEMA
grant for new turnout gear for the crew.
New Business:
Zoning: No objection was filed to the non-metallic mine conditional use permit for Olson
Bros.
Playground discussion: Jessica Z from the Superior/Douglas County Leadership Group
requested the board approve the ir efforts to make enhancements at the playground,
including a book shelter, a structure for holding basketballs, etc., a GaGa ball pit , new
playground equipment, etc. They hope to fund- raise local businesses and apply for grant
opportunities. The board encouraged their efforts and looks forward to working with her
team.
Old Business:
Fire Dept. Water Source: The board will need to know the cost of any land before moving
forward with a pond. Fred mentioned we are not a water poor town and he’d like to see
2
more water points at available road/stream crossings. Keith mentioned the members of the
fire dept. are still interested in a well based on the time factor involved in filling the rigs
after an incident and the convenience of being able to do it indoors vs outside for a couple
of hours.
Town correspondence was reviewed.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Diane Nelson, Clerk
