TOWN OF BRULE NOTICE OF PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING AND BUDGET SUMMARY Notice is hereby given that the Town of Brule , Douglas County WI will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED BUDGET of the Town of Brule on Thursday, November 14, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Brule Town Hall, 5814 S Maple St, Brule, WI. Immediately following the public hearing, a Special Town Elector Meeting will be held to approve the 2023 total town tax levy to be collected in 2024. The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection on the town's website at www.brulewi.gov and at the clerk's office by appointment. The following is a summary of the proposed budget. The board approved exceeding the levy limit by an increase of $8,666, which the electors will be voting on at this special town meeting. This includes the additional $ 90,000 for the garage /equipment fund which we’ve requested in the past.
