Financial Report: The financial report showed: $21,609.65 in checking, $385,106.23 in the general money
market account which includes $146,112.92 in a sub-money market dedicated to the town garage, $14,781.63

covered under the warranty. Myron motioned, seconded by Kevin to accept the financial report, and authorize
paying the bills as presented after checking on the Fabick bill, motion passed.
Town Officers Reports : Myron met with Paul Piszczek, DNR, and Jason Jackman , County Highway
Supervisor, regarding the project using Bellwood Pit Rd. Myron is concerned that the contractor will be
using off-road vehicles which will be overweight and potentially damage the road you would like to see an
agreement between the town the DNR and the contractor that stipulates the road be returned to its current
state after the project is completed Myron videotaped the road to show what the current condition is . Diane
discussed the option of using an overweight permit which stipulates repairing the road at the end of the
project as the off-road vehicles will exceed the weight limit on the road.
Road Report: Crew has been dealing with beaver problems , 6 have been caught in just one culvert. Some
patching of blacktop has occurred. The grader and the loader were serviced. Both Highlanding and Danielson
culverts have been installed and look good. They're currently working on trees that are hanging over the road.
Fire Chief Report: They have had 1 medical, 1 mutual aid, 1 CO alarm, and 1 downed tree call since the
last meeting. Keith met with a representative of the Winneboujou Club regarding access issues , he felt it
went well. Hopefully the road can get widened to allow passage of the emergency vehicles. While researching
replacement roofing, he discovered our insurance no longer covers cosmetic damage from hail, which could
be added back in at a cost of 477/yr. with a $5000 deductible. Keith got a quote from the subcontractor for
Lester buildings for the replacing steel roof on the old part of the Lester building for $19,128.60, with 1/3
down, 1/3 when they start, and 1/3 upon completion. Fred motion seconded by Myron to move forward with
the repair, motion passed.
New Business:
Zoning: Nothing required approval.
Purchase of DNR property on Old Hwy 2 : During the meeting of the electors just prior to the board
meeting, a resolution was passed to authorize the town to purchase the land.
Clevedon Rd Maintenance: The board thanked Trusty Trucking for all the work they do on the Clevedon
Rd. Myron expressed concern over liability when they have their equipment on the road, reminding them
it is a town road . Pat explained they have all the same emergency light s, signs, insurance, etc. the town
does. He also reminded the board of an agreement that was signed approx. 10 years ago, allowing them
to perform this work. Myron mentioned he had forgotten that and is more comfortable with th e situation
2
now. Both the board and Trusty Trucking expressed the need for be tter communication between them
when work is being done by either the town or Trusty Trucking.
Old Business:
New Truck: Kevin met with Benna Ford in Superior. He went through the specifications with the crew
and Benna, so we are now on the waiting list. We are not sure how long it will take but at least it’s ordered
now. This topic will be tabled until we hear more from Ford.
Fire Dept. Water Source: Keith is still tracking down information on the well option.
SWL&P Repeater: The board discussed the location of the repeater. They felt it would not be best at the
town park. Town land on the south side of Old Hwy 2 was suggested, they will offer that option to explore.
Town correspondence was reviewed.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Diane Nelson, Clerk
