Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall November 13, 2024 7:00pm Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members were present. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the October 10, 2024, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – No Report Highway Dept – Completed the 6’ to 20‘ bridge-culvert report will be turning it in to Douglas County Highway soon. Still placing a little gravel, working on the old firehall walls. Arthur Amy made a motion to accept the quote from Duluth Coating Solutions to refinish the town hall floor. For $18,614.50. Mark Liebaert seconded. Motion carried Dennis Hill made a motion to set the Budget Hearing date and time for November 26th at 6:00 pm. Arthur Amys seconded. Motion carried. Douglas County – Mark Liebaert, the $71,000,000 dollar budget was approved with the levy going up $150,000. They will continue to borrow $2,000,000 dollars every year to get caught up on Highway repairs. They are reviewing whether they should create their own wetland mitigation program as the City of Superior is possibly going to stop theirs. M, Z, H highways are in the close plans for upgrades.
