Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall August 8, 2024 7:00pm Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members were present. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the July 11, 2024, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – No Report, Highway Dept – Grading, hauling gravel, mowing, the screener is working great once I have figured out how to use it. mower is having little difficulty cutting the thick grass due to the wet spring, Tim put 2 new blades on, and it is working better. Would like to purchase a different screen for the screener, they are $ 1000 plus shipping. Worked on the brake one of the fire trucks. Forestry – No Report Fire Dept Dennis Hill researched the possible start date of the fire department and has concluded it was established in 1955. We will make a resolution next month to get it in the books. Douglas County – Mark Liebaert, Property has been purchased for the habitual sex offender but now they local residence have put a stop to where it was going. Have started the budgeting process, Insurance has gone up 10%. Looking looks employee raises will be in the 2.5 % - 3% range.
