Meeting Minutes July 2024

Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall July 11, 2024 7:00pm Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members were present. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the June 13, 2024, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – No Report, Highway Dept – Grading, hauling gravel, mowing, started using the screener it is working pretty good, mower is having little difficulty cutting the thick grass due to the wet spring, Tim is going to try to add 2 more blades. Forestry – No Report Sign – Sign is here we need to weld brackets on to the frame are planning on having it up before school starts. Fire Dept Dennis Hill is going to research the possible start date of the fire department. Old 11 Bridge Gary Kane is still working on the final payment. Mark Liebaert is working with the County Highway to improve the north approach heading south. Arthur Amys made a motion to accept the contract with our assessor Micheal Schnautz for revaluating the whole town. It will be a one-year contract. The cost of $14,100, which is a difference of $6300 from what we pay him for the yearly assessment. Douglas County – Mark Liebaert, Property has been purchased for the habitual sex offender. The jail is still having issues being understaffed. The City of Superior waived the dump fees for the Parkland Trailer Park. UWS is doing a feasibility study for the fairgrounds.
