Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall August 10, 2023 7:00 pm Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members present, Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the July 13, 2023, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – No Report Highway Dept – Need rain been spot grading when there is moisture, replacing culverts, mowing 1 round is done starting on second. Forestry – County Road D sale Arthur Amys made a motion to close the sale, Mark Liebaert seconded. Motion carried. Final payments have been received. Final payment to foresters will be made in the amount of $ 2470.48 split evenly between them both. Discussion on purchasing a screener moved to the September meeting. Generator – Mark Liebaert made a motion to purchase and install a 48KW Generac Generator with a spending limit of $30,000. Dennis Hill seconded the motion carried. Carl Miller Discussion on proceeding Mr. Miller need to have a survey drawn up to show the adjoining landowner what he is proposing for right of way. Before we will send a letter. Discussion took place on raising the rental fee for the hall from $75 to $ 100 per day of use. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Douglas County- Mark Liebaert 17.9 million damage to forest from the winter snow. They have rented a Barco Mulcher to try and revive the areas. The County has allocated money to clean up the rest of the Parkland trailer park. The High Bridge funding is in the works and the Exposition Center is back in the funding talks. Denny Checkalski was present and discussed Waste Management losing recycling out their trucks. And people plowing snow across roads and if anything can be done. A lengthy discussion took place with a few suggestions on what can be done. Mark Liebaert made a motion to adjourn, Dennis Hill seconded Adjourned 8:35 pm.
