Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall July 13, 2023 7:00 pm Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members present, Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the June 8, 2023, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – No Report Highway Dept – A pin on the roller broke but has been fixed. Forestry – Last Payment here for the County Rd D sale. Fire Dept – Requests permission to sell the 1979 tanker that the new truck replaced. Arthur Amys made a motion to allow the fire department to sell the truck, Mark Liebaert seconded. Motion carried. Discussion on purchasing a screener moved to the August meeting. Carl Miller was present requesting the Town send a letter to the property owner of parcel # AM002- 00110-00, Eric Anderson IV, to reiterate that the State of Wisconsin has no land locked land and the if they cannot come to an agreement thew Town of Amnicon will pe forced to step in and require they give the easement. Gary Kane will do some research and contact the Towns Assoc. to see what we need to do to move forward with this. Mark Liebaert made a motion to move forward with the process. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Mark Liebaert made a motion to hire Susan Amys for the janitor and hall rental contact for $ 17 per hour trial for 6 months. Dennis Hill seconded. Douglas County- Mark Liebaert the Parkland trailer park is not off the books. Shared revenue passed the Governors desk so we will be getting a major increase. The Highway Dept. is still short of 7 people. Paula Leusman was present to discuss if there is any way to get better internet in our town. Unfortunately, it is a big waiting game with the providers as they try to make use of grants that are available. Mark Liebaert made a motion to adjourn, Dennis Hill seconded Adjourned 8:16 pm.
