Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall April 13, 2023 7:00 pm Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members present. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the March 9, 2023, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – No Report Highway Dept – Plowing Snow still and dealing with frozen culverts and flooding. Forestry - Essen has made the third payment on the Highway D Project. Next sale should be cut midsummer. Discussion on purchasing a screener moved to the May meeting. Arthur Amys made a motion to allow the Fire department to place the used truck purchase on the annual meeting agenda, Mark Liebaert seconded. Motion carried. Arthur Amys made a motion to hold the Board of Review on May 10 @ 5 pm. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Conditional use renewal for Gravel Pit on County Rd P. Town of Amnicon Lessee, Mark Liebaert made a motion to approve, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. The Zoning Meeting in Solon Springs was well attended and very informative. They will be requesting feedback and plan to hold another one in the fall. The Cable Towns Meeting was very informative. They brought up there may be funding available for our Non-Bridge Bridges, Arthur Amys will contact Ayres to find out more information. Douglas County- Mark Liebaert April 12th declared a State of Emergency for the flooding, this opens up disaster funds from the State of Wisconsin. 2 Board Members are retiring, and Carol Jones the Treasurer is retiring. All county trails are closed until dry up. Mark has accepted the vice chair of NWRP. Quinn and Green are voting no for the $300,000,000 stadium funding until they get member onboard with more equal funding for local governments.
