Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall May 11, 2023 7:00 pm Mark Liebaert called the meeting to order. All board members present except Arthur Amys was absent, Mark Liebaert made a motion to approve the April 13, 2023, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – No Report Highway Dept – Grading and working on installing roller on grader and fixing washouts from flooding. Forestry – No Report next sale will be cut mid-summer. Discussion on purchasing a screener moved to the June meeting. Mark Liebaert made a motion to purchase the 2002 Kenworth Water Tender Fire Truck from the Town of Wascott for $ 95,000 Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Mark Liebaert read the Resolution to Borrow money from the Board of Commissioners of Land Trust @ 5% interest rate for 10 years. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Resolution is included in these minutes. Mark Liebaert voted Yes, Dennis Hill voted Yes, Arthur Amys was absent. Mark Liebaert made a motion to use $ 25,000 out of the timber account for a down payment to be repaid into the account upon receipt of the loan. Dennis Hill seconded the motion. Motion carried. Conditional use for Amnicon Entertainment DBA Riverside Bar and Grill for a farm market, Dennis Hill made a motion to approve, Mark Liebaert seconded. Motion carried. Conditional Use Permit and Reclamation Plan for Solon Springs Concrete. Mark Liebaert made a motion to approve, with the provided conditions. Dennis Hill seconded the motion. Motion carried. Douglas County- Mark Liebaert Appointed a new council member, and they are interviewing 2 applicants for the Treasurer with Carol Jones retiring in June. The shared revenue as part of the state budget is stalled so not sure what we will end up with. Forestry is surveying the damage from the snow this winter. DC received a certificate of excellence for financial reporting. County Rd U is in the works to be repaired. Carl Miller was present and requested to be put on June’s agenda for an easement dispute.
