Amnicon Regular Board Meeting, Amnicon Town Hall 7:00 pm April 14, 2022 Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members present except Mark Liebaert. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the March 10, 2022, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Chelsea Thompson Dementia care specialist with Douglas County Aging & Disability introduced herself and gave a short presentation on what her office provides to the community. They primarily help people stay in their homes. Comprehensive Plan Committee –A public meeting was held April 14 at 6:00 pm. to disclose proposed changes to the plan. The changes were presented to the town board see attached plan. It will be placed on the May agenda to vote to accept or make more changes. Old 11 bridge: No Report Will probably be built after June 15 but completed before October Deatherage Zoning request conditional use permit for the campground Arthur Amys made a motion to table until May meeting when the whole board is present. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Milestone Materials requested a conditional use permit to place an asphalt plant at the Buckley quarry at the corner of US Hwy 2 and US 53. Same conditions as in the past. Neighbors have no problems with it. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Zoning ordinance change to language, no vote so will just be counted as a yes vote. Loan for Extrication Equipment. Tabled until May as Gary has not received the paperwork. Arthur Amys made a motion to allow Gary Kane to pick the Board of Review date just no Wednesdays. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Douglas County- Mark Liebaert: No report Petrus Pienaar from Sleepy Hollow Motel was present to request a zoning change from R-1 to C-1 only discussion, due to Gary Kane not putting it on the agenda. Was advised to change it to RR-1 instead of C-1. Tyler Kauther Class B Road Permit, Arthur Amys made a motion to approve. Dennis Hill seconded. Adjourned 8:50 pm.
