October 2021 Minutes

Amnicon Regular Board Meeting, Amnicon Town Hall 7:00 pm October 14, 2021 Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members present. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the September 9, 2021, regular meeting minutes, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan Committee – Met prior to this meeting moving forward making adjustments to wording and adding info on CAFO’s and Campgrounds. Old 11 bridge: No New Information Hill / Hill fence issue: Fence quote will be sent with letter giving Ms. Hill 45 days to respond and Hills will clean up the debris, Ms. Hill will have until May 15 to install the fence if after that she doe’s not Hills will erect i9t and the Town of Amnicon will send her the bill for the materials. Town of Amnicon voting districts Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the resolution outlining the (2) two voting wards in the town, Mark Liebaert seconded motion carried unanimously. Old Town Hall. Arthur Amys made a motion to get a plague to recognize the people who contributed to the restoration. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Snow Plowing Driveways. Mark Liebaert made a motion to keep the rates the same as 2020, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Tyler Kauther had a lawyer request records from his rejected request for zoning changes. Gary Kane sent the lawyer the comp plan and the future land use map. Old Ford Dump Truck. Steven Parker has made an offer to purchase the truck for $2000. Arthur Amys made a motion to sell it, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Covid Monies. It looks like we will be able to us it all but still waiting on clarification for the Towns Association. Racheal Deatherage was present to discuss the possible change to zoning on a property on county Rd P. They have constructed a Yurt on it and would like to rent it out. County Zoning says it need to be changed form R1 to RR1. The board table it for later discussion. Gary Kane is looking for election workers. We need to appoint the board at the December meeting. Bill Eldred was present and expressed interest as did Susan Amys. Gary is compiling a list. Budget planning meeting Arthur Amys made a motion to have it at 6:00pm prior to our November 11meeting, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Ceiling panels for the hall to reduce echoing, Dennis Hill has been in contact with Shaeffer Acoustics out of Duluth. Gary Kane will call to set up at time to have them out to get a firmer quote. Douglas County- Mark Liebaert: County Jail needs help probably will need to raise the jailers’ wages. Arthur Amys moved to adjourned, Dennis Hill seconded.
