Present: Chairman Bill Conner, Supervisor Drinkwine, Supervisor Katie Stenroos, Supervisor Jeremy Olson, Supervisor Kebhart, Treasurer Cindy Theien and Clerk Carolyn Jones. Meeting sign-in sheet had a total of five attendees. New Business a. EMS Funding Assistance Program. EMS Funding Assistance Program (FAP) runs from 07/01/24-06/30/25. The town received a total of $20,490.34. Treasurer Theien conferenced in Corey Straubhaar – Community EMS Coordinator, Division of Public Health for the State of WI to help answer questions regarding FAP, statues and what the funds can and cannot be used for. Can funds be used for EMS items such as radios that overspent their budget? Yes. Can fund be used for firefighting equipment? Not structural firefighting. Can funds be used for cell phones and subscriptions even if budgeted. Yes, it is being allowed. Corey confirmed funds can be escrowed for the future (set aside in separate account) for a particular purchase. Feigle asked if program is to supplement EMS budget, not replace it? Funds are not a definite every year. Must be applied for, funds may decrease/increase. Questions that Corey will get back to the town on are: Are we able to reimburse the Town’s general fund for overbudget EMS items within the term 7.01.24 – 6.30.25? And/or are we able to reimburse the town’s general fund for budgeted EMS items within the term? Motion made by Supervisor Stenroos and seconded by Supervisor Kebhart to table while awaiting answers to questions. Motion carried. Vote: Yes -5, No –0.
