EXTENSION EDUCATION & RECYCLING COMMITTEE Douglas County Board of Supervisors Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 2:00 p.m., Government Center, Boardroom 201 1316 N. 14th Street, Superior, Wisconsin Chair Sue Hendrickson called meeting to order. 1. ROLL CALL Present – Sue Hendrickson, Mike Streveler, Mark Liebaert (made quorum). Absent – Charlie Glazman, Wendy Bong, Howard Hendrickson. Other – Mary Pardee, Ellen Chicka, Lindsey Conley (Committee Clerk). 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Streveler, second Liebaert, to approve minutes from June 17, 2026, meeting. Motion carried. 3. ACTION ITEMS a. 2027 Extension Department Budget Proposal: Distributed to committee; Pardee provided budget proposal updates regarding personnel expenses and Extension contract fees. ACTION (REFERRAL): Motion by Streveler, second S. Hendrickson, to approve 2027 Extension budget proposal as presented and refer to Administration Committee. Motion carried. 4. REPORTS a. Recycling – S. Johnson (1) Recycling Container Contamination fees: Table included in agenda. b. Extension Staff Reports The following reported on departmental activities: Extension staffing and resource updates, 4-H and Youth Development, and Office/Media Support. 5.
