Town of Little Falls Regular Monthly Board Meeting January 8, 2025 Board members in attendance: Ginnie Follendorf -Treasurer; Tom Stuessel -Chairman; Alan McCoy - Supervisor, Bill Wadephul-Supervisor, Cassie Schober-Clerk Chairman Stuessel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Then read the agenda. It was asked if everyone had a chance to review the minutes from the December meeting. Bill Wadephul made a motion to approve the minutes from the December meeting. Second by Alan McCoy. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 Ginnie Follendorf gave the treasurer’s report. Beginning Balance $ 448,979.14 Monthly Income $ 438,376.95 Monthly Expenses $ 20,859.87 Ending Balance $ 866,496.22 2024 Tax Collection $ 433,175.61 Ending 2024 Balance $ 433,320.61 ARPA Funds 0.00 Alan McCoy made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Second by Bill Wadephul. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 First agenda item: Info/Update on May WTA Meeting Hosting Clerk passed out an information sheet prior to the meeting giving the price to rent the Sportsmen’s Club of $350 and a $20 per hour fee for bartender. Tentative hours given were 5 pm – 10 pm Meal to be catered by Danita and Virgil Schmitz. Menu items are Tips and chicken, potato salad, dinner roll and dessert. Date of meeting is 5/15/25 Next Agenda Item: Selection for order of candidates on April ballot Clerk had put all candidates’ names on slips of paper prior to the meeting. 4 candidates for supervisor. Next agenda item: Town Mower Chairman Stuessel asked Kevin Schober to give an overview on the mower situation. Kevin stated our current mower is on its 5th year and usually get 5-6 years out of a mower. Current mowers warranty will be up in May. The board asked Kevin to get 2-3 quotes for mowers and bring back to be presented in February. Bill Wadephul made a motion to get quotes for new mower. Second by Alan McCoy. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 Clerk made note there will be a primary held in February. Chairman Stuessel asked the board if they would like to have a holiday party as done in past years. Alan and Bill both agreed they would. Clerk will get in touch with Monkey’s Roost and see if dates of 2/15/25 or 3/1/25 are available. Chairman Stuessel asked the clerk if she ever heard back from a rep at the sandmine about coming to a meeting. She states she has not and will reach out again. Chairman Stuessel brought up an email forwarded to him from the clerk about the new process for fire number signs. The county has instructed they have a new process. Everything will now go through the county. The resident is responsible for picking up their fire number sign from the county and installing it. Chairman Stuessel will reach out to Jeremiah at the county to discuss. Town of Little Falls Regular Monthly Board Meeting January 8, 2025 Ginnie Follendorf stated she had received a couple of messages from residents. First being an anonymous resident who complained about a mess on 1357 Admiral Rd. Place is a mess. Caller left no name or number to return call. Sally Teasdale left message stating there is a place near there’s that have a bunch of campers hooked up to it and wondered if this was allowed. Chairman Stuessel will check out the areas and reach out to county zoning. Review of Bills. Alan McCoy made a motion to approve bills. Second by Bill Wadephul Motion carried. 3/0 Next board meeting will be February 12, 2025 at 6 p.m. Bill Wadephul made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Alan McCoy. All in favor.
