For instance, if another person bought it would the town, then buy it for the community. The town board members stated that s something that must be brought before the board and voted on by the residents at a special town meeting. It is decided that the town will wait and see what other information is forthcoming. Next Agenda item: Monroe County highway bill. Last month the Highway bill was tabled as Kevin Schober was checking into the billing confusion of the March bill in the amount of $3,004.53. Kevin found out that the billing is for the highway department placement of road signs within the Township on Monroe County right of way roads. Cedric Schnitzler, representative of District 1 stated he had spoken with David Ohnstad, Highway Commissioner who stated that in 2020 a letter went out to all the towns in Monroe County that stated that road signs would all be replaced and must be installed by highway and paid for by the township. Cedric was going to forward the email which contained the letter to the clerk. Kevin asked why thy had to have new posts, why couldn’t the old posts be used, as $964.00 of the bill was just for posts. Cedric was unsure. The board decided to hold off on paying this bill until the letter from the Highway Department from 2020 could be reviewed and further discussion could incur. Chairman Olsen then stated that he has had complaints come to him from residents with the engine braking on County Highway B. Wondering about getting Engine braking signs. Cedric stated he would talk to David Ohnstad and see what could be done. Chairman Olsen then stated that he received a phone call from a resident on Dallas Ave who is asking about “Spores” bridge. He was told when he purchased the property by the former owner that the town Town of Little Falls Regular Monthly Board Meeting August 10, 2022 was responsible for half and the owner for the other half. He is looking at wanting a culvert put in. Chairman Olsen stated this was addressed many years ago, and found to be this bridge was not considered the responsibility of the town. Chairman Olsen thought it should be documented in the minutes. Asked the clerk if she could attempt to find this information. Stated he thought it would be approximately after 1993 but before 1998. Clerk will see what she can come up with. Clerk stated she received a message from Stephanie Smith of the Sportsmen’s Club and they are expressing interest in obtaining a liquor license for the Cataract Field Days in September. Clerk has an email into the Tobacco and Alcohol Division of the DOR and will see what can be done. It is brought up that there has been a lot of heavy trucks on Dakota Rd, wondering what can be done about that. It will be put on the September agenda. Cedric Schnitzler gave an update on the county. Stated there was an open house at Rolling Hills on 8/9, and it was noted that this conflicted with the election, so many people didn’t get to go. Cedric said as of right now the plan for the old buildings of Rolling Hills is to tear down the old Human Service building. As of right now Land and Zoning departments will stay in the current buildings. Review of Bills.
