The following board members and staff were in attendance: Chairman-Ryan Selbrede, Supervisor II-Nate Abbott, Supervisor I -Jim Olson, Treasurer -Bonnie Hehn, Clerk - Carrie Nilssen, Patrolman-Bruce Peterson. Additional attendees: Roxie Anderson – Monroe County Steve Hagen – Leon Community Center, President July 8, 2025 Meeting Minutes a. Supervisor II – Abbott made a motion to approve the July 8, 2025 minutes, seconded by Supervisor I – Olson. All Ayes, motion to approve passed. Jameson Road Open Space Property – Joint Use Agreement b. Roxie Anderson presented the Board with a map, FEMA Deed Restrictions and the Joint Use Agreement. The Board recommended making changes to #5 Responsibilities, #7 Insurance and Liability, #8 Indemnification. Roxie will discuss these edits with Monroe County personnel and get back to the Town Board. Public Comment c. Discussion was held on the construction of a large human waste slurry pit. A neighborhood petition is being circulated to prevent this construction. An erosion control permit has been issued. Treasurer’s Report d. Treasurer - Hehn presented the Financial Report for July 2025. Checking account ending balance $41,951.15. Money Market ending balance $149,516.48. Supervisor II - Abbott made a motion to approve the Financial Report as presented, seconded by Supervisor I – Olson. All Ayes, motion to approve passed. Patrolman’s Report e. Will be on FMLA leave for approximately 6 weeks. f. Mowing for the upcoming Tim Greeno walk/run civic event. Clerk’s Report g. Clerk – Nilssen presented the AR and AP Transaction List for July 2025. Supervisor II – Abbott made a motion to approve the Transaction List for July 2025 as presented, seconded by Supervisor I – Olson. All Ayes, motion to approve passed. h. Clerk – Nilssen presented the 2025 Budget vs Actual Report ending July 31, 2025. Other Business i. We will order 45 ton of road salt. j. Large item collection will be held October 1 and 4, 2025. (no tires, no mattresses) Jack and Patricia Manzella – Conditional Use Permit k. Supervisor I – Olson made a motion that the Town of Leon concurs with Monroe County’s findings that the existing parcel needs to be split to accommodate the additional family dwelling and the property owners will need to obtain a sanitary permit, seconded by Supervisor II – Abbott.
