Town of Angelo Annual Town Meeting

Town of Angelo, Monroe County, Wisconsin Town of Angelo Annual Town Meeting 4-18-2023 The Annual Town Meeting was held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Steve Treu acted as Chairman and Mary Carlisle acted as Clerk. There is no agenda for this meeting as it is the residents meeting. The residents elected to vote by a show of hands. Todd Giraud moved to approve the minutes from the April 19, 2022 meeting as read. Second by Sue Geier, motion carried by show of hands. The Financial Statement was presented. Moe Amundson moved to increase the trained poll workers wage by 50 cents ( $13/ hour) beginning in 2024. Second by Chris Hanson. Motion carried by a show of hands. The board will check to see if it needs to be approved by the board. Chris Hanson suggested that there will be need for a place for residents to bring branches from the storm damage. The Disposal Center has an area for branches and another place for compost. Frank has burned the pile from last year this winter. No construction materials are allowed. The heavy snow storms have resulted in down trees in the right of way. The County does our work and will be working to the areas. It does take time. The residents were asked to consider separating the clerk and treasurer positions and if they should be an elected or an appointed position. It should be discussed at the next Annual meeting.
