City of Sparta 12912 Broad Street Sparta, GA 31087 Called Meeting - September 24, 2020@10AM The meeting was called to order by Mayor ProTem James Clark, followed by Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and Roll Call. Council Members in attendance were James Clark, David Ingram, Tom Roberts and Sandra Sherrod. Mayor Allen Haywood and City Clerk were also in attendance. Attorney John Hitchcock was absent. James Clark opened the meeting for the purpose of Adopting the Budget for Fiscal Year 2020B and turned discussion over to the Mayor. After a short discussion, James Clark made a motion to adopt the budget for FY 2020B. It was seconded by David Ingram. Vote was unanimous. Five-year history of Levy and proposed mileage rate must be published in local newspaper for 1 week. The next step will be to Adopt the Millage Rate. The Millage Rate Adoption meeting will be October 8, 2020 @ 10:00 AM. James Clark made a motion to close meeting. Tom Roberts seconded the motion. Vote was unanimous. Meeting was adjourned.
