Planning Commission Meeting Minutes from 2/4/25 Meeting Attendees: Wayne, Kathy, Lori, Dale, Fred, Travis and Prescott (virtual) Call with Ken from MRRPC Meeting called to order 6:06pm Discussion: • Group feels like the committee is at a bit of a stand still with getting the document moving with Ken • Goals should be considered with careful consideration and deliberation • The Committee needs to finalize the goals • Need to get a rough draft of the final Comprehensive Plan before the end of February o Action for Ken to provide via Google Doc page for the Committee by next meeting 2/25/2025 (Google doc to be created by 2/14 and emailed to Committee) Reviewed goals again to finalize before discussion with Ken began • Action: Lori forward updated goals-Completed Started Discussion with Ken: Reviewed finalized goals with Ken and Ken indicated he would get them into the plan right away and start moving forward with the completion of the rough draft of the full Comprehensive Plan. Actual plan will now have the goals added and Ken will begin to draft up the verbiage on how we are going to accomplish the goals that are set forth in the plan Goals were derived from the survey results overall. Discussion also around if Martel has enabled Village Powers. • Action: Ken will also confirm that Martel does indeed have Village Powers by next meeting 2/25/2025 Committee then had the discussion with Ken regarding we are 11 weeks away from our presentation to the public and Ken acknowledged that he thought it was more than enough time. We will need to confirm with Ken before we send out the public notice on March 18th • Action: Wayne to present and update to the Town Board during the 2/11 regular meeting and ask that the Planning Committee Ordinance be added to the March agenda for action. Meeting was adjourned at 7:55pm Next meeting scheduled for 2/25/2025 at 6pm.
