Roads Committee Meeting — Minutes

Town of River Falls Road Committee Minutes Date: November 13, 2025 Present: Terry Kusilek, Brad Mogen, Don Rodewald, Dalton Flick and Peter Stern Excused absence: Rob Schaar and Cole Hanson 1. Meeting called to order at 4:04 PM. Motion by Terry to approve the agenda. Second by Don. Motion carried. 2. Motion by Terry to approve minutes from September 11, 2025, with one correction. Second by Don. Motion carried. 3. Public comments. None. 4. Saddle Club road paving was completed. County still needs to do the shouldering. Mowers still need some parts ordered to finish repairing them from the fall mowing. Beldenville Pass (750th St) has been completed but now having 4-wheeler issues. 710th Ave sealcoating completed. Shop furnace has been installed. Rob and Dalton have been patching roads. It looks like they have used about 100 tons this year of material. Trimbelle Creek Road (650th Ave) has been completed, and other various culverts have been cleared with the help of Darrel Hubble. 5. The plan is to trim Sleepy Hollow (820th St) and Shady Lane (850th St) this winter if possible. It looks like we had $10,000.00 left in this year’s budget and $40,000.00 set up in the 2026 budget. 6. With the help of a consultant the LRIP Grant application has been completed and will be sent in soon. The project we are requesting funding for would be used for reconditioning of South Saddle Club Road. The plan is to do 7,860 feet from Hwy 29 to Galgowski’s. 2026 would be the maintenance/road preparation year and 2027 would be the main reconditioning year. The possible grant could be $45,000.00. 7. Looking at having a subcommittee of the Roads Committee to look at all of our Road Policies and Ordinances and determine what can be consolidated and streamlined. Brad has the information to be reviewed. 8. Trillium Lane (747th St) was discussed regarding abandoning the last 420 feet. Drew Wieser would like to have it abandoned since they are building a new home at the end of the current dead-end road. The new turnaround has already been set up. Drew needs to make a written request to the Town to continue the process. 9. The road plan for the next five years is: 2026 is a maintenance year and we will be preparing for 7,860 feet of Saddle Club Road reconditioning in 2027. 2027 will be the Saddle Club road project. 2028 will be a maintenance year and preparing for Forestville Road (690th Ave) reconditioning. 2029 Forestville Road project. 2030 continuation of Forestville Road project. 10. In January the plan is to meet and watch LRIP , PASSER and WISLER training YouTube videos. 11. Brad sent us the current Town Road and Address Map from Pierce County. Look at them and see if any additional corrections need to be made. Next meeting date will be held on December 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Terry will chair the meeting since Brad will be unavailable.
