Recycling Committee Meeting — Minutes

Town of River Falls Recycling Committee Minutes November 6, 2025 Committee Members present: Joe Mahoney, Kristin Nyquist, John Stark, Rita Kozak, Mary Merta The meeting was called to order at 6:34. Motion to approve agenda: Mary, second by John. MC Motion to approve minutes: Joe, second by Kristin. MC Public comments: None Signage: Rita will research and send for committee review signage for mixed recyclables dumpster, specific paper/cardboard acceptable for recycling, antifreeze and oil signage and No Electronics sign for “free area. ” Recycling Storage/Containers: Rita will contact Pierce Co waste administrator to inquire about fluorescent tube and rechargeable battery storage and shipping source for batteries. Non-resident use of recycling facility: The committee reviewed the current recycling department fees and charges and will create a specific column for non-resident charges. A business size card will be printed to identify town residents. The cards will be distributed in March 2026, cross checking with current Town of River Falls address/property owners list.
