VILLAGE OF ELLSWORTH COUNCIL MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL April 30, 2026 Present: M. Drenth, Al Drenth, L. Spearing, Don Ruis, M. Potter, M. Bennett, and J. Rasmussen Others: Tina Sundelius, Ken Groesser, Jeff Potter. ABSENT: S. Sowers, S. Dhillon PUBLIC INPUT:  None DISCUSSION: a. Riley Stansky was present. The board asked him questions concerning his qualifications for the DPW and Water Dept. job as well as his willingness to cover both. b. The bid for pressure washing the Woodenshoe Park Restrooms came in at $2,000.00. Only one bid came back. c. Discussion was held on the purchase of a truck for the DPW at $42,000. Down payment of $22,000, finance $20,000 for 4 years. Decision to be made at the May meeting. d. A group of concerned citizens has started a movement to fix the issues at the Bridge Street Culvert. They are calling themselves the Chain Link Bridge Project. They have a goal of raising $3.5 million to build a bridge. They are asking for our assistance and cooperation. They will be raising funds, applying for grants in our name. ACTION ITEMS: 1. MOTION by J. Rasmussen/seconded by L. Spearing to approve Steve Lowen’s pressure washing bid of $2,000.00 and get the job done before the park opens on May 15. CARRIED 5- 0. ADJOURN: MOTION by J. Rasmussen/seconded by L.
