SPECIAL IRON COUNTY FINANCE Meeting Minutes April 29, 2026 Approved Notice to: Iron County Miner, Ironwood Daily Globe, WJMS and WUPM Radio and to all committee members. NOTE: A majority of the members of the County Board of Supervisors or of any of its committees may be present at this meeting, to listen, observe and participate. If a majority of any such body is present, their presence constitutes a "meeting" under the Open Meeting Law as interpreted in State ex rel. Badtke v. Greendale Village Board, 173 Wis. 2d 553 (1993), even though the visiting body will take no action at this meeting. Meeting called to order: Youngs called the meeting to order at 9:00am in the county board room. 2. Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge was recited. 3. Roll call taken: Roll Call: Hiller, Lauer, Snyder, Francis, Youngs. Lutgen came in at 9:01am. 4. Acknowledge that the meeting was properly noticed and posted: The clerk certified the meeting was properly noticed. 5. Elect Chair of Finance: Youngs called for nominations for Chair of Finance. Hiller nominated Jamey Francis, Lauer nominated Roxanne Lutgen. Motion to nominate Jamey Francis 3 yes, 2 no. Jamey Francis elected as Finance Chair. 6. Elect Vice Chair of Finance: Francis called for nominations for Vice Chair. Lauer nominated Roxanne Lutgen. Motion by Snyder, seconded by Lauer to elect Roxanne Lutgen Vice Chair of Finance. All yes, carried. 7. Discuss/Action to move funds for building additional office space to accommodate Child Support: Motion to create office spaces for Child Support and V eteran Services up to $10,000 made by Lauer, seconded by Hiller. All yes, carried. 8. Discuss/Action to authorize up to a specific dollar amount to purchase office furniture at auction: Motion to authorize up to $20,000 to purchase needed office furniture through Wisconsin Surplus made by Lutgen, seconded by Snyder.
