Annual Town Meeting — Minutes

Town of Dodgeville Annual Town Meeting Minutes Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 5:00 p.m. 1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Town Supervisors in attendance were: Pam Johnson-Loy, David Pope and Peter Vanderloo. Absent was: Kyle Levetzow. Also in attendance were Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Kevin Zajicek and Karter Zajicek. 2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor Pam Johnson-Loy. Motion carried. 3) Approval of Annual Meeting Minutes from April 16th, 2024. Pam Johnson-Loy made a motion to accept the April 16th, 2024 meeting minutes as submitted. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. 4) Review of 2024 Annual Report & Audit. The Town Board reviewed the presented 2024 Annual Report indicating that the Town had a net loss of $294,716.09. The Town had budgeted to spend approximately $294,716.09 of the fund balance in 2024. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that the 2024 Audit Report was not completed at this time and would be e-mailed to the Town Board to discuss at a later meeting. 5) Review of 2024 Accomplishments & Highlights. The Town Board discussed several accomplishments and highlights for 2024 including the following: 1. The purchasing of a new 2025 Mack tandem plow truck. 2. The purchasing of a 2023 Chevy Silverado with a v-plow. 3. Sealcoating of Dunbar Rd, Korback Rd, Survey Rd, Berg Rd, Park Ridge Rd and S avannah Terrace 4. Paving of James Road and replacing existing culverts 5. Hiring of Chad Whitford as Dodgeville’s new full-time Town Patrolman. 6) Set 2025 Annual Meeting Date. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to set the 2025 Annual Meeting date for the third Tuesday in April of 2026 starting at 5:00 p.m. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried. 7) Other matter brought before the Annual Meeting. None. 8) Adjournment. David Pope made a motion to adjourn at 5:08 p.m. Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried.
