Staff Reports:
Sewer/Water/Public Works
Randy Kitelinger said the sewer plant is running well. Randy said that while at the conference he spoke with R.W Allen about the dialer system and learned that the modem could be changed for around $500-$1000 so that we can get rid of the landline. Randy met with a representative from Focus on Energy. He learned that at the sewer plant there wasn’t much to change. We could replace lights in the Community Building and Municipal Building and there could be a rebate for most of it. Randy reported that the truck box on the Red F550 quit going up and down. Grant County Truck Bodies made the repairs. This may be under warranty. Randy told the board that sewer backed up. Collins & Hying was called and they could not get through the clog. Curran’s Drain Cleaning was called in and they were able to grind the tree roots that were blocking it. The DNR inspected the burn site. We received a notice of noncompliance because the site is burning brush less than 6” in diameter. The village would need to buy a woodchipper and will need to send a waiver letter saying the village can’t afford to purchase a chipper.
Mike Silvers said the water side is running well. He reported that he will need to start completing the CCR report. Mike said that he will be going to take a sewer test on 5/29 in Madison.
Police Correspondence:

He also reported that Mineral Point is on auto aid for the Linden Fire Depart at no cost. He also told the board that 2 new members joined the fire department.
