COMMITTEE & COMISSION REPORTS
Library Board – The April 21st minutes and April statistics were reviewed. Alaina Benton was unable to attend this
meeting to provide an update. It was recognized by Board members present that the library has been very busy.
Cobb-Highland Recreation Commission –The May 13, 2026 minutes and June 10th agenda were provided.
Fire District Board – The March 8, 2026 minutes and June 10, 2026 agenda were provided. Chief Steve Linscheid had
contact Village Clerk Lisa Riley to bring a couple of items to the attention of the Board following the Fire District meeting.
The current Joint Fire District Agreement is now ten years old and while the Fire District has no current concerns, they
wanted to bring to the attention of both the Village of Cobb and Town of Eden boards to see if they were interested in
updating the current agreement. The Fire District will be working on their budget at their August meeting to enable
them to present their budget in a timely manner to the Village and Town boards. The timeframe expires on the
Community Center rent increases (2022-2026), so they are inquiring what the annual cost will be for 2027 budget
preparation. The board asked these items be put on the July board meeting agenda for discussion/action. It was
suggested that the agreement should be updated, especially with the current names of people in office, since the last
agreement is ten years old.
Splash Pad- Renee Linscheid was not in attendance at this meeting so no update was provided.
Entrance Sign Committee- The committee meeting still has not been rescheduled due to busy summer schedules. The
goal is to have the finalized sign design by Corn Roast.
CITIZENS AND DELEGATIONS- Clerk Lisa Riley informed the Board that Megan Walters had stopped in to request to be on
an upcoming agenda to address garbage pickup concerns/issues and potentially requesting to detach from the Village
boundaries. Information available from the League of Wisconsin Municipalities was provided to the Board for review.
This item may be placed on a future agenda for action.
