Town Board — Minutes

Town of Exeter Regular Board Meeting Monday, April 14, 2025 – 7:00PM Ted Fahey, Mark Gundlach, Kent Brauer, and Clerk Sass were present. Town members: Dale Gutman, Marv and Deb Schneider, Paul O’Connor, Bob Talarczyk, and Siegfried Eckhardt (Siggi). Notice legally posted. Minutes: The minutes from March 10, 2025, Regular Board Meeting presented. Motion to approve March 10, 2025, Regular Board Meeting minutes (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of March 31, 2025, $398,799.89 Money Market funds gained $462.95 in interest. The balance is now $122,953.97. Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Announcements: Election was successful – 1,193 voters – 75.3% turnout. Supervisor report: Ted – nothing. Mark – nothing, Kent – nothing. Citizen Input: None Committee Reports: Mark – Park Committee met last Tuesday, April 8. Canoe launch – Kelly Hickman wants to use the park to remove canoes from the river few days throughout the summer. Boy Scouts spread mulch around the trees on April 6 – even the youngest scouts did an excellent job. They had a Pickleball court presentation. Oregon put in six courts for $245,000.00. Cruise Night dates 6/19, 7/17, 8/21, and 9/18 – James wants to have music Summer Haze or Elvis impersonator. Kent – no senior meeting. Unfinished: None. New Business: • Annual Meeting – Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 7:00PM – financial report will be presented. • 10 Junk Miles Races – they will again have two races through Exeter, May 24, and July 2-3. They will notice the upcoming races, put up signs on the day of the races, and make sure everything runs smoothly. Exeter has been put on the liability insurance. • Road Bid Awards – will not be awarded until we hear from New Glarus township regarding Argue Road chip sealing. • Land Use Plan Amendments – Paul explains the proposed changes, fee schedule, driveways in a cluster development with shared driveway/maintenance agreements. The density is not changing only the manner to access lots. Motion to accept the recommendations of the Plan Commission for the amendments to the plan (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. • M. Schneider CSM – lot of 4.75 deed restrict 25.29 acres. There will be two deed restrictions on the farm. There needs to be a driveway agreement and the deed restriction. Motion to approve CSM as presented pending paperwork (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. • Bills – Motion to pay bills (MG/KB), approved.
