• Appointment of Election Inspectors – Beginning August 12, 2024 -
12/31/2025. Motion to approve two new election inspectors, Shannon
Booth, and Debra Mohns (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
• Kleinheinz Trust CSM – split the parcel which has two fire numbers now,
agreement to share well/septic, no shared driveway on property. Motion to
approve the Kleinheinz Trust CSM as moved by the Plan Commission
Board on July 16, 2024 (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
• Driveway Fees – for existing driveways to be inspected to see if they meet the
current standards. Ted recommends a $100.00 fee for inspection. Road
bond would be needed. Motion to have a $100.00 fee for inspection of
existing driveways (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
• Recycling Center Hours – Friday summer hours – some minor issues, Mark –
all residents are invited, on a Saturday in front of recycle center workers a
mattress was dropped off and no one saw it, plastic toys were behind the
dumpsters. Motion to have recycle center open on Friday 11AM – 5PM to
be reviewed in January 2025 (MG/KB), all in favor, two yes and one no,
approved. Kent was there for 2.5 hours last Friday – everybody was
respectful and not happy if the dump closes on Friday (some residents work
or are out of town on Saturday). Marc Peterson is against per Ted. Burt – a
camera should be installed at recycle center to observe when it is unstaffed.
Mark opens the gate and does not get paid for the time.
• Green County Highway winter tree trimming - $10,000 for two weeks, town
board should determine where the tress should be cut and trimmed. Chris
Narveson told Kent that we should start on the bigger trees. Exeter Crossing,
Marshall Bluff and Tunnel are really overgrown. Motion to have Green
County Highway Department do tree trimming during the winter
months for a cost of $10,000.00 (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
