Town of Exeter Regular Board Meeting Monday, May 13, 2024 – 7:00PM Ted Fahey, Mark Gundlach, Kent Brauer, and Clerk Sass present. Town members: Chris Backes and Siegfried Eckhardt (Siggy). Notice legally posted. Minutes: The minutes from April 8, 2024, regular meeting presented. Motion to approve April 8, 2024, regular meeting minutes (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of April 30, 2024: $493,386.01. ARPA funds gained $558.05 in interest. The balance is now $117,364.39 Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Announcements: EMS Open House will be held on Tuesday, May 21 from 5PM to 7PM at the EMS building. Supervisor report: Ted – couple driveways sited, tree down on Christian Rd. (blocked entire road). Mark – none. Kent – disappointed with ATV/UTV traffic on State Rd 92. Review of ordinance at June meeting. Citizen Input: Siggy – funding is running out for broadband. If the money increases, we are still near the top of the list. Ted asks Chris if there is any progress on the audit. Chris has not heard anything yet. New reporting for level of care. EMS had 8 applicants with 6 being interviewed for A/EMT full time position. Private insurance and Medicaid are not paying right now. There was a $1,700+ dollar private claim and EMS got back just over $122.00. Committee Reports: Mark – park committee – hand sanitizer solution is not the correct product for the dispenser that was ordered (this product is what was sent to clerk to order). Boy Scouts will be camping this weekend; we will make sure the restroom is open. Sueann volunteered to work the car shows, pulled pork was a suggestion for food. Flagpole light needs to be lowered slightly for easier access to the flag. Unfinished: None. New Business: • Awarding road bids – Exeter Crossing re-build will be assessed on Wednesday. Seal coating bids – Fahrner and Scott Construction for seal coating. Scott – MG/KB motion, ¼” granite $47,586.00. MG/KB – County for paver patching. • Open Book – Tuesday, May 28, 3:00PM to 5:00PM and Board of Review – Tuesday, June 4, 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Residents will get a notice prior to Open Book if their assessment has changed. • Bills – Motion to pay bills (KB/MG), all in favor, approved.
