PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF NEW GLARUS | GREEN COUNTY, WISCONSIN CLASS 1 NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT FOR PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION Project Name: Town Garage Site Preparation and Grading Work Owner: Town of New Glarus Contractor: Hilliard Concrete & Excavating LLC (Monticello, WI) Estimated Project Cost: Negotiated Estimated Cost, $38,000.00 (Under $50,000 statutory limit) 1. Notice of Public Contract Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 60.47(2)(a), notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of New Glarus, Wisconsin, intends to enter into a public contract for site preparation and grading work associated with the construction of the new Town Garage. Because the estimated cost of this public work is under the $50,000 formal public bidding threshold, the Town Board is authorized to let this contract directly without a competitive bidding process. The Town Board intends to award this contract to Hilliard Concrete & Excavating LLC of Monticello, WI. 2. Scope of Work The work to be performed under this contract consists of civil earthwork and site preparation at the future Town Garage site, including: ● Clearing, grubbing, and stripping of topsoil. ● Rough grading and structural fill placement for the building pad. ● Fine grading of the access driveway. ● Installation of required temporary erosion control measures. ● Curb and Gutter and 3.
