Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF NEW GLARUS SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING November 4, 2025 5:30 PM Closed Session New Glarus Municipal Garage, 200 Railroad St., New Glarus, WI Members in attendance: Chair Narveson, Supervisors: Mark Pernitz, Matt StreiƯ (by telephone) , Troy Pauli (by telephone), Dan Gartzke, (by telephone), Deputy Clerk Treasurer Darla Kramer. 1. Chair Narveson called the special meeting to order at 5:37 p.m. 2. Clerk Treasurer Kramer verified posting of the meeting on 11/3/2025 3. A motion by roll call vote to convene into closed session per §19.85(1)(2) to consider an issue over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The topic: Open Clerk Treasurer Position. Voting was as follows: Narveson - aye, Pernitz-aye, StreiƯ-aye, Pauli-aye, Gartzke-aye. 4. In closed session the Board discussed the applicants for the open position. 5. Supervisor Pauli made a motion to reconvene into open session. Supervisor Pernitz seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion carried. 6. In open session, Supervisor StreiƯ made a motion to hire Amber George. Supervisor Gartzke seconded the motion. All were in favor. Ms. George will start in the position of Clerk Treasurer beginning November 17, 2025, at 32 hours per week with a starting salary of $27.50 per hour plus benefits. After a six-month probationary period, her hourly rate will increase to $29.50 per hour. Chair Narveson was directed to contact Ms. George, as well as the other applicants, and to work out the transition details. 7. Supervisor Pernitz made the motion to adjourn.
