Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF NEW GLARUS Special Town Board Meeting Wednesday, October 31, 2025, at 6:30 AM Location: Town of New Glarus Garage 200 Railroad St., New Glarus, WI 53574 Members in attendance: Chair Narveson, Supervisor StreiƯ, Supervisor Pernitz, Supervisor Pauli (via telephone), Supervisor Gartzke (via telephone). Also, in attendance were Ashley HaƯner, Rob Ready, Drew Delforge 1. Chair Narveson called the meeting to order at 6:30 a.m. 2. Proof of posting – confirmed previously by Clerk McMicken on October 29, 2025. 3. The State Local Projects Grant Application was discussed. After discussion, a motion by Supervisor Pernitz, seconded by Supervisor Pauli, was made to approve the proposed construction plans prepared by JeƯ Lahey, of a Town Hall/Community Center, with an estimated cost of $1.50 million, for purposes of applying for the State Local Projects Grant and contingent upon receiving the grant, and to approve payment to Vierbicher Associates for their fees for preparing the grant application. The motion was approved 4 – 0. Supervisor Gartzke abstained as he had not seen the construction plans. A second motion was made by Supervisor Pernitz and seconded by Supervisor StreiƯ to approve applying for the State Local Projects grant, with 50/50 funding, for the construction of a new Town Hall/Community Center at an estimated cost of $1.50 million. Motion was approved 5-0. 4. Supervisor Gartzke made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor Pauli seconded the motion. The motion was approved 5-0.
