Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF NEW GLARUS Special Town Board Meeting Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 5:00 PM Location: Town of New Glarus Garage 200 Railroad St., New Glarus, WI Members in attendance: Chair Narveson, Supervisor Streiff, Supervisor Pauli via telephone, Supervisor Pernitz. Also present: David Frye 1. Chair Narveson called the meeting to order at 5:08 p.m. 2. Posting of the agenda was 9/29/2025 by Clerk McMicken 3. Larry Kubehl’s request to build one house and install one driveway in Country Haven Estates was discussed after reviewing Attorney Hazelbaker’s opinion. Supervisor Pernitz made a motion to deny the building permit and driveway permit in Country Haven requested by Larry Kubehl. Supervisor Streiff seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion carried. 4. A motion to go into closed session pursuant to § 19.85(1)(C) by Supervisor Streiff was made and seconded by Supervisor Pernitz to consider employment and contract negotiations over which the governmental body has jurisdiction. Roll call vote: Streiff-aye Pernitz-aye Pauli- aye Narveson-aye 5. A motion to go out of closed session by Supervisor Pernitz was made. Supervisor Streiff seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion carried. 6. Supervisor Pernitz made a motion to contract with the Belleville EMS District for EMS services in 2026. Supervisor Pauli seconded the motion. Motion approved. Supervisor Streiff abstained from voting to avoid any appearance of conflict of interest. 7. Supervisor Streiff made a motion to adjourn. Supervisor Pauli seconded the motion. Motion approved.
