7-20-26 Public Works Meeting — Minutes

Public Works Committee Minutes from July 20th, 2026 Call meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Members present: Jake Bachim, Todd Klahn, Christian Allen and Leif Spilde. Approve minutes from 6/15/2026, Klahn motioned and Allen seconded. Discussion about water tower maintenance contract. Current contract is up for renewal and we recommend getting a few other prices. No contract approved to sign at this time. Discussion and take action on new front end loader replacement - two companies who offer what we are looking for were Case and John Deere. Case was the machine chosen and lowest amount to purchase. Klahn motioned and Allen seconded to bring to village board for final approval. Discussion on air conditioner for community building replacement. No update at this time Discussion for South Rutland future project. Nothing to update from the state at this time. Update on collaboration services with the Village of Oregon -- in progress of Oregon attorney reviewing. Update WWTP permit requirements -- April 30th facility study and dissipative cooling reports approved July 9th 2026. Start planning in August Water dept -Monthly samples taken and safe -working on meter replacements Meeting called to adjourn – Klahn motioned and Allen seconded.
