Get Fit is on break until September – Yoga will return to Wednesday nights with interim instructor until
Mikkelson returns in January. Hakwey has paddles and balls for when pickleball returns to the
community building. Hakwey will contact public works for taping of the floor and installing curtains. It
was brought up that the tennis courts at Legion Park should be redone – we should reach out to public
works and get costs for that. It was also mentioned that we should look into changing all the sand at
the park into grass – it would help with the ground bees.
Food Truck nights are almost over – only one left for the season. The August Food Truck night only had 3
trucks. Aloha Wagon had trouble with electrical access not working were told they could move down
to the next hook up - but, they just pulled out. Culinary Nirvana drove through the park – but, then left –
heard they went to another event. Thanks to board member Klahn for all the help trying to troubleshoot
the electrical issue and for helping pick up the trash at the end of the event. Hawkey sugge sted that
we get a packet together for next years Food Truck night and give to the current vendors so they can
sign up early. Hawkey will reach out to the clerks office for help with this.
Summer Youth Recreation went well this year. We had a small group and they met for 5 weeks and had
3 field trips. We should send out the registration/sign up earlier next year – send out early spring.
Fall Arts & Crafts Fair is Saturday – we will open up Friday afternoon for setup to begin. Doors will open
at 6:30am for setup Saturday morning. Hakwey will open the building Friday night and Saturday
morning. Thompson said she will be available from 9am-12pm to help out. Hardy will reach out to Klahn
and see what her availability is.
Ballet will return in the Fall – running October 1
st through December 11th. They will have off the week of
Thanksgiving (11/26 & 11/27). Classes will be held on Wednesday (2 classes) & Thursday (1 class) nights.
The instructor reached out requesting a helper/volunteer – Gehrmann stated that maybe his daughter
would be able to help out.
